LOCAL KNOWLEDGE. INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVE.

China, with context.

China Hospitality Circle brings together local knowledge in China with international experience in luxury hospitality, publishing, communication and travel.

We seek out places that reveal a more personal side of China — from the thermal springs of Tangshan and the tea landscapes of Tianmu Lake to Daoist mountains, temple paths and the craftsmanship of the Jiangnan countryside.

Our journeys are not built around lists of hotels and famous sights. We create connections between landscape, culture, food, wellbeing and the people who give each place its character.

Working with selected partners in China and Europe, we create individual journeys for travellers who want to experience China beyond the familiar.

Places. People. Culture. Wellbeing.

JIANGSU · VOLUME 01

Explore Jiangsu

A province revealed in layers.

Jiangsu is often approached through its famous cities. We prefer to follow the connections between them — from history and hot springs to tea country, mountain paths, temples and the craftsmanship of the countryside.

Our first collection traces a journey through six places, each revealing a different rhythm and a different idea of China.

Red gateway in Nanjing

NANJING

Where history still breathes.

Ancient city walls, tree-lined avenues and the waters of Xuanwu Lake form the backdrop to a city where different eras of China remain visible at once.

Ming heritage, Republican architecture, temples, gardens and evening life along the Qinhuai River coexist without turning Nanjing into a museum.

Thermal spring pavilion in Tangshan

TANGSHAN

Where warmth comes from below.

Just beyond Nanjing, Tangshan is shaped by its natural thermal springs.

Water, wooded hills and a long tradition of wellbeing create a place where the rhythm naturally slows — walking, bathing, resting and returning gradually to balance.

Thermal Springs · Wellbeing · Forest · Slow Travel

Tianmu Lake and its forested shores

TIANMU LAKE

A landscape drawn in water.

Tianmu Lake unfolds between wooded hills, small islands and long stretches of open water.

Tea gardens climb the surrounding slopes, bamboo forests gather the morning mist and local kitchens follow the seasons. Days may be active or wonderfully unhurried.

Temple architecture on Maoshan

MAOSHAN

Where the mountain turns inward.

In Chinese culture, mountains are more than geographical forms. They are places of retreat, reflection and imagination.

At Maoshan, forest, bamboo, temples and water come together in a landscape shaped by centuries of Daoist tradition.

Daoist Heritage · Mountain Paths · Forest · Shanshui

Quiet architecture beside the wooded landscape of Qixia

QIXIA MOUNTAIN

Between temple and forest.

On the eastern edge of Nanjing, paths rise through woodland towards Qixia Temple, stone carvings and quiet courtyards.

Architecture and nature continually frame one another, creating a landscape best discovered slowly.

Water, gardens and countryside in Yixing

YIXING

Where earth becomes art.

Between Lake Tai and the hills of western Jiangsu, Yixing is a landscape of bamboo, tea gardens, water and clay.

The region is renowned for its zisha pottery, but craftsmanship here is inseparable from the land itself.

EXPERIENCES

Beyond the hotel

Travel begins where the itinerary becomes personal.

The most memorable moments in China are often not the biggest ones.

They may begin with a cup of tea, an early walk before the city wakes, a conversation with an artisan or a mountain path followed without hurry.

China Hospitality Circle connects each stay with the culture, landscape and people around it.

Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment

THE RUIHE METHOD

Wellbeing as a journey.

Traditional Chinese Medicine, movement, nutrition, thermal water and rest form part of one personal programme rather than a sequence of isolated treatments.

Tangshan · Nanjing

Tree-lined heritage path in Nanjing

BEFORE THE CITY WAKES

Nanjing at another rhythm.

Early morning offers a different view of the city: parks, neighbourhood life, exercise and everyday routines before the streets become busy.

Nanjing

Tea prepared beside the forest

EVERYDAY TEA CULTURE

Tea is not a ceremony. It is how conversation begins.

Around Tianmu Lake, tea grows across the surrounding hills.

Yet the most revealing encounters often happen simply around a table — a cup poured, quietly refilled and shared while conversation unfolds.

Tianmu Lake

A path through a bamboo grove

DAOIST MOUNTAIN PATHS

A landscape of quiet meaning.

At Maoshan, forest, bamboo, temples and water reveal a landscape shaped by centuries of Daoist culture.

The experience is less about reaching a summit than about noticing the relationship between nature, architecture and thought.

Maoshan

A quiet encounter in a temple setting

BETWEEN TEMPLE AND FOREST

A different way of seeing.

At Qixia Mountain, paths, courtyards, gateways and forest continually change the way the landscape is seen.

Qixia Mountain · Nanjing

A pottery workshop encounter in Yixing

THE ART OF YIXING CLAY

Shaped by hand and time.

Meeting an artisan or entering a pottery workshop reveals the skill behind Yixing’s famous zisha teapots — and the relationship between clay, tea, touch and time.

WELLBEING

A different idea of longevity

Wellbeing that becomes part of the journey.

At Ruihe Chiva in Tangshan, wellbeing is understood not as an isolated treatment but as a process of restoring balance over time.

Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and natural thermal waters, each programme begins with the individual.

Treatment, movement, nutrition and rest may form part of the stay — but the journey continues beyond the treatment room.

Landscape, cultural encounters and time away from everyday routines become part of the same experience.

Traditional Chinese Medicine at the heart of a personal wellbeing journey

The Ruihe Method

Personal. Integrated. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Rather than following a standard sequence, Ruihe creates individual programmes around balance, recovery and long-term wellbeing.

Live better. For longer.

06

SIX PLACES. ONE CURATED JOURNEY.

The Journey

From Nanjing to the landscapes beyond.

A China Hospitality Circle journey is not built around a checklist of sights.

It begins with places that belong together and connects them through carefully selected hotels, private transfers, cultural encounters and time to experience each destination at its own pace.

Nanjing

History, gardens and life along the Qinhuai River

Tangshan

Thermal springs, Traditional Chinese Medicine and wellbeing

Tianmu Lake

Water landscapes, tea country and forested hills

Maoshan

Daoist heritage, mountains and rural Jiangsu

Qixia Mountain

Temple culture, ancient paths and quiet landscapes

Yixing

Between bamboo, water and tea

No two journeys need to be identical.

A programme may focus more strongly on wellbeing, culture, landscape, food or craftsmanship.

The purpose is not to see more.

It is to connect the places in a way that makes the journey meaningful.

07

CURATED. PERSONAL. CONNECTED.

Private Access

Not everything we create is publicly bookable.

China Hospitality Circle works with selected hotels, local partners and travel advisors to create journeys beyond conventional packages.

Depending on the programme, this may include preferred hotel arrangements, private transfers, cultural encounters, wellbeing experiences and access developed through our network.

We do not aim to make every element available everywhere.

The value lies in knowing which places, people and experiences belong together.

For travellers, this means a journey shaped around individual interests rather than a fixed itinerary.

Available through China Hospitality Circle and selected travel partners.

08

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE. EUROPEAN CONTEXT.

For Travel Advisors

A trusted way into China.

China can be extraordinary — but difficult to sell well without reliable local knowledge and clear context.

China Hospitality Circle gives selected travel advisors access to our collection of hotels, destinations and experiences, supported by personal contacts in Europe and China.

CURATED ACCESS

Selected hotels, preferred arrangements and trusted local partners.

JOURNEY DESIGN

Individual programmes combining stays, destinations, transfers and experiences.

DESTINATION KNOWLEDGE

Context on culture, wellbeing, food and local experiences.

PERSONAL SUPPORT

Direct communication throughout the planning process with contacts in Europe and China.

China Hospitality Circle is not a mass-market booking platform.

We work with a limited network of travel advisors and specialists who share our approach to thoughtful, individual travel.

09

LOCAL RELATIONSHIPS. INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE.

The People Behind CHC

Personal knowledge matters.

China Hospitality Circle is built around people rather than a platform.

Our work combines relationships and destination knowledge in China with decades of experience in luxury hospitality, publishing, communication and travel in Europe.
